About Angels Llop

I have always wanted to be a painter. Although I have started other studies, I have always been drawing, painting and studying world art.

AngelsLlop

For this reason I studied Fine Arts at UB, where I graduated with a specialization in sculpture. At the same university I did several courses and seminars, and finally doctorate courses.

Later, I did a Master of Architecture, Art and Ephemeral Space in Elisava and the UPC, where I deepened the study and production of art installations, especially scenery.

Always I have been involved in the work of creation, I have been interested in different subjects and techniques depending on the  work I develop.

For this reason, I have been working on different art disciplines.

To learn the techniques I needed to know to do specific projects, I have worked in the  workshop of  Dolores Molina (pottery), Lluis Cera (stone sculptor) and  Juan Maria Medina (wood sculptor ). And  recently, I attended digital photography art  classes with photographer Daniel Rivero and  Workshop Cuer-dos artistic Jewellery in Menorca.

The topics that I’m working with are related to my direct environment: nature, landscape and light. The shapes, colors, compositions and materials always have a reference to the natural world.

I begin with a theme, a general and abstract concept about an experience. I experiment and intent to find a personal language. Looking for a new way of expressing a living, a feeling or an emotion. When viewers see my work and understand it, they can see what I represent, although it is not figurative or realistic.

In my work I set a personal interpretation of the world that I live in, the places where I travel and the long stays in the countryside doing a inner  research.
